Consult with AdventHealth Shawnee Mission to understand the underlying challenges. Parse the data from the only existing source of information. Extract and name the images in the PDF to match the physician.
Organize the database with physician info and headshot link. Updates have a deadline date to be updated.
Develop an editable form that displays the specific info that is relevant to the physician allowing them to replace headshot and/or edit information. When the form is submitted, the database is updated.
Export the database results and merge the data into the master InDesign template, which allows us to produce the print production file and send to production.
After production, the books are packaged and shipped to AdventHealth Shawnee Mission’s locations for distribution.
Using this new automated method, AdventHealth Shawnee Mission marketing department estimates this new process relieved two employees from doing this project and recouped 150 hours to be redirected to other projects.
The recipient had the option to either do nothing and leave the info unchanged or click a link that updated their contact info in the database.
